Tears

I felt a tear fall
and that's all I know
one drop, two drop and then they began to flow
I released the hurt and pain
and then the drops increase
a torrential downpour of a contrite heart
I feared would never cease
I'm sorry for the things I missed
the words that had gone unspoken
dialogue stilted and broken
the tears fell like rain to cleanse my soul
size and proportion did increase
One drop, two drop will my heart find peace
