My Spiritual gifts are birthed from the hardest trials

my daily cross to bear

tests that lead to testimonies

when with God I share

I struggle with my visions and my flesh

they put me to the test

but just like Jacob I wrestle with them

because I desire to be blessed

the invisible attack comes through the mind and heart

fortresses most vulnerable, the body's most exposed parts

I battle insecurity

I fight with self-doubt

some days there appears to be no distinctive way out

no exit, limited vision, no fresh air

I m resuscitated when the issue is given to God in prayer

I am battle scarred and raggedy from fighting my self-will

but in prayer I hear and know my needs will be fulfilled
