Lying Eyes

Against all logic
I still have hope
God chooses the foolish things of the world
to shame the wise
I don’t care what it looks like
My faith doesn’t need my eyes
I often go after what I see
Neglecting God’s clear instruction to me
My eyes, my Judas
What I see may be the death of me
My head, my ears, my heart
are yielded to God
and there they’ll remain
prevent my eyes from leading me
to separation, loss and pain
