PRIDE...feels good when you're operating in it but what about the long term? By: KB© 8.27.14

REAL TALK from KB:
Pride - an inwardly directed emotion that carries two common meanings. With a negative connotation, pride refers to an inflated sense of one's personal status or accomplishments, often used synonymous with hubris. With a positive connotation, pride refers to a satisfied sense of attachment toward one's own or another's choices and actions, or toward a whole group of people, and is a product of praise, independent self-reflection, or a fulfilled feeling of belonging.

Hubris - means extreme pride or self-confidence. When it offends the Gods of ancient Greece it is usually punished.
Hubris is usually perceived as a characteristic of an individual rather than a group, although the group the offender belongs to may suffer consequences from the wrongful act. Hubris often indicates a loss of contact with reality and an overestimation of one's own competence, accomplishments or capabilities, especially when the person exhibiting it is in a position of power.

Wow…I’m going to address Hubris because it addresses a relationship with God(s). Basically what happens is that when we’re guided by and walk in the flesh, we have a tendency to believe that we are in control. We systematically shift God off the throne and believe our own thinking…..

I, personally, have to stay mindful of my spiritual positioning
