I just revisited this conversation today

I’m loving the fact that I have the ability, the capabilities and the medium to discuss my faith. Hebrews 11 is an amazing Bible passage in that is takes about the faithful (the saints.) Please note that I am not talking about the religious and the pious. I’m talking about the people who walk and talk with the blessed assurance of Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for.

I have come to live by and embrace this verse as a way of life. To break the verse down into very basic terms it says that I don’t have to see the whole flight of stairs to take a step because I know I walk in the knowledge of who I am and whose I am. I don’t walk blindly, I’m not a robot, I’m not brainwashed; I have choices and option in life. What I’ve come to understand by that verse is that I am covered by God should my choices take me out of the will of God. As a person who identifies as a believer I am persuaded and obligated to study and learn the character of the God I serve so I do not step out of His will (His good and perfect will…I say this because I often have to remind myself and others that our BEST thinking often get us in crazy situations. WE cannot and should not try to superimpose our will over the will of God..this is why we must study to know the character of God)
