Reaping and Sowing BY: KB © 12.21.14

I just had a conversation about this subject and I shared what I learned from someone many years back. This someone was the goddaughter of a renowned Pastor and Gospel singer and she received the word from him.

People who tend to judge like to throw the statement "you reap what you sow " around; denoting a divine retribution for some actual or perceived slight.  When they use this statement, their concern is  usually focused on the slight against them NOT in your relationship with God. But let's look at the phrase: The first thing we have to understand is the definition of the word sow

Sow - verb plant (seed) by scattering it on or in the earth. Synonyms bestrew, dot, pepper, scatter, spot, spray, sprinkle, strew, disseminate, distribute, broadcast
Note: nowhere in the definition does it say carefully tend, monitor, delicately place.

So with that being said, let's go to the word of God Matthew 13:1 - 9   That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. 2 Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. 3 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. 9 Whoever has ears, let them hear.”

What am I saying? We do not necessarily reap what we so...sometimes you can plant a few seeds and get much more than you imagined and sometimes you can plant a bunch of seeds and get nothing. Our "harvest" is dependent upon God. Please note that God can allow a rose to bloom in concrete...only He knows what He will allow to bloom...

So to all of you "saints" who like to dole out thunder and lightning based on YOUR interactions with someone...just remember that YOU ARE NOT GOD and I don't recall HIM hiring help! To those people I say use your time wisely, tend to your own walk with God and leave His instruction for me to Him!
