FAITH By: KB © 11.14.14

REAL TALK from KB: I periodically have to ask myself this question but today I am asking it of you. How strong is your faith (walk)?  Do you trust God and His word or are you more prone to run to others for help and commiseration? Do you and your friends celebrate in the woe is me one-upmanship?

I learned a while back to surround myself with spiritual people who love me, support me and challenge me to go and grow in the ways of God. I've had moments where I have been brought to my knees crying out to God telling Him that I can’t possibly take “nare anuther thang” and He gives me more to show that His grace is sufficient. I now know that to be a truth. There have been times where I've been mad at and removed from God. I then hear my grandma’s voice from heaven yellin’ “What ‘chu mad fo?!” I’m then reminded that not now does not mean not ever.  Acting like a spoiled child, I was having a tantrum while God was protecting me from something.

I may get out of sync and miss a few step but it doesn't take me long to get right back in step with the rest of the flock.

Isaiah 53:6 New International Version (NIV)
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
    each of us has turned to our own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
    the iniquity of us all.

John 10:14 New International Version (NIV)
"I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me—

23 PSALM
23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2     He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
3     He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
    for his name's sake.
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
    I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
    your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
    in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
    all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
    forever.

Now before you get all mad about me preaching…look at how many times I used “I”…this is all about me but I’m asking you to work with it as well.
