The Storm Is Over

I watched a storm blow in one day

and it caused more damage than you'll ever see

I watched it tear down, crush and destroy

the infrastructure of me

I didn't heed the warnings

I didn't take care

my building had been around a while so I assumed it would always be there

I feel the thunder rumble

I heard the waves roar

I felt the storm hit and tore the building down

leaving only the foundation, the essence, the core

I praise the foundation

I pray for the core

building something outside of God would happen nevermore
