the heavens opened
I bet you think I mean rain
no!
the heavens opened to reveal the book of life
I looked to see each name
when I got to yours
I heard the angels sing
a beautiful Godly refrain
a haunting chorus from above
I only heard the words
goodness, mercy and love
all of which are very true
it's the music of your heart
the heavenly chorus that I hear
that draws me to you and keeps me near
you don't hear the music
always asking "What did I do?"
but it's the hallelujah chorus
that draws me in to you
