I'm not being morbid,

 I'm talking about memories in my head

lingering, haunting, heavy and daunting

how do you bury the dead?

ghosts moving in and out of my memories

showing up to vex

confusing my thoughts and actions

jumbling my word and deeds

be gone unseen specters, go and leave me be

mental and verbal cremation

burning and burying memories

that's how you dispose of the dead

Is not between time and space

But having the person you love, when they don’t know

Right in front of your face

North to South

East to West all defy discernable measure

When your love doesn’t know

It’s like having a vault without the treasure

It’s like catching a leprechaun

And wishing for the gold

All, a futile exercise

Unless you have something to hold

Is really from the heart to the head

Unless you do or say something to get that love

You may as well be dead
