Bitter words of long harbored resentments

Verbal brutality

We had an argument

I see the intense pain and hurt in her eyes

I ask myself how my unspoken expectations

Transform my gift into something I despise

I acknowledge my wrong and apologize

Extending a peace dove

Embracing my queen so tight as we make sweet apologetic love
